Authentication
Protect credentials and prepare authenticated requests.
Contract status
The KPPAY authentication scheme, credential provisioning flow, header names, and permissions have not yet been published in this reference. Do not assume Bearer tokens or an API-key header without the verified contract.
Keep secrets on your server
Load secret credentials from environment configuration or a secret manager. Send only data that the client needs back to the browser. Redact credentials from logs, traces, support tickets, and screenshots.
Separate environments
Use independent configuration for testing and production. Check that the credential and base URL belong to the same environment before sending a request.
Handle rejected requests
Use the documented error response to distinguish invalid credentials from insufficient permissions. Avoid repeated retries when credentials or permissions need to change.
Rotate credentials
Confirm the supported rotation and revocation procedure with KPPAY. Plan how your application will load replacement credentials and verify that old credentials are no longer used.
